Why We Clean Every Curtain Before Shipping

Because every detail matters — from the fabric to your family’s well-being.

1.Hidden Dust from Production

Even new fabrics gather fine dust during crafting, so every curtain is deep-cleaned before delivery—fresh, safe, and ready to hang.

2.Preventing Mites from Fabric Transitions

From factory to home, fabric faces changing conditions—our pre-wash process removes mites and ensures every curtain arrives fresh, clean, and family-safe.

3.Curtains Naturally Attract Dust Daily

Curtains naturally collect dust, so we pre-wash every piece—removing factory residue and giving your home a truly fresh beginning.

4.Avoid Odors Before They Begin

Untreated fabrics hold odors and moisture, so we deep-clean each curtain—removing residues for a soft, fresh finish that’s ready to hang instantly.

5.Safe for Kids Who Love to Play Around Curtains

Kids love hiding behind curtains, so we make each one spotless and allergen-free—safe, gentle, and ready for every family moment.

Measuring Guide: How to Get the Perfect Fit

Inside Mount

Definition: The shade is installed inside the window frame. This provides a clean, tailored look that showcases your window’s beautiful trim. It is ideal for minimalist designs or smaller rooms.

  • How to Measure:Width: Measure the inside width of the window frame at three points (top, middle, and bottom). Use the smallest of the three measurements.Height: Measure the inside height from the top of the window sill to the underside of the top jamb at three points (left, center, and right). Use the largest of the three measurements.
  • Crucial Notes:Minimum Depth Requirement: Your window frame must be at least 2.5 – 3 inches deep (depending on the model) for a flush fit. Otherwise, the shade may protrude from the frame.Light Gaps: To allow for smooth operation, there will be a small light gap (approx. 1/8" to 1/4") on each side. If you require 100% total blackout for a bedroom, consider an Outside Mount.Factory Deduction: Please provide the exact net window opening size. Our production team will automatically deduct 0.5 inches from the width to ensure a smooth, snag-free fit.

Outside Mount

Definition: The shade is installed on the wall above the window frame or directly on the trim. This style makes windows appear larger, offers the best light blockage, and can hide unattractive window frames.

  • How to Measure:Width: Measure the total width of the window area you wish to cover (including trim). Then, add extra width for overlap.Height: Measure from the desired top mounting point down to where you want the shade to end.
  • Recommended Overlap:Width Overlap: We recommend adding 2 – 4 inches on each side (4 – 8 inches total). This ensures full coverage and eliminates light leakage from the sides.Height Overlap: We recommend mounting the shade 3 – 6 inches above the top of the window frame. This allows the stacked fabric to sit above the glass when fully raised, maximizing your natural light.
  • Crucial Notes:When measuring, be sure to account for any protruding hardware like cranks, locks, or handles that might interfere with the shade’s movement.

FAQs

How should I measure the size of the curtains I need?

We have prepared a detailed measurement guide for you.
Need help measuring? Check out our detailed measurement guide to get it just right.

How do I determine the width of pleated curtains?

For pleated curtains, the panel width refers to the width after the pleats have been set. Generally, we use twice the amount of fabric to create the pleats and folds to ensure the best results. The panel width is measured from the left end to the right end of the pleats, rather than the distance from the left lower hem to the right lower hem.

How do I determine the length of pleated curtain styles?

Measure the distance from the bottom of the curtain rod to the floor to determine the length of your pinch pleat curtains.

Should I consider how full the pleated header should be?

For pleated curtains, the pleats are permanently sewn in, and we typically use 200% fabric fullness.
For example, if your curtain rod or track is 100 inches long, you can order two panels, each 50 inches wide, to suit pleated header styles.

What does the stackback width refer to?

Typically, the stackback width is approximately 20% of the ordered width. Therefore, if you want the entire window opening to be visible when the curtains are open, please take the stackback width into account when choosing the length of the curtain rod.

Do I need to buy pin hooks for the pleated curtain style?

Each THREE GIRLS panel comes with adjustable plastic hooks, making it easy to fine-tune the hanging height to fit your space perfectly.

Is there any instruction regarding the number of pleats for pleated curtains?

About Pleat Calculation and Pleat Count

To calculate the number of pleats, divide the panel width by 5, then add 1.
Example:
40" panel ÷ 5 + 1 = 9 pleats
72" panel ÷ 5 + 1 = 16 pleats
84" panel ÷ 5 + 1 = 18 pleats

What size do I need to sew double-width curtains?

If the finished height is over 108", any width over 56" will require seams.
For heights of 108" or less, any width can be made seamless.
If your dimensions exceed these limits, double-width panels with vertical seams will be necessary.

What is the maximum size of curtains with memory shaping?

Memory Training Maximum Size:
width 160 inches; length 263 inches.

Is it necessary for my curtains to undergo memory shaping treatment?

Absolutely! This shaping technology gives the fabric “body memory,” helping your curtains maintain crisp, structured lines from top to bottom. The pleats stay elegant and defined, with no flaring at the bottom. In contrast, regular curtains often lose their shape over time, resulting in a less polished look.

How long can the curtains maintain their shape after undergoing memory shaping treatment?

It is permanent.

Can I machine wash the curtains?

Yes, our curtains are machine washable. Please follow these care instructions:
• Machine wash cold
• Use gentle cycle
• Do not bleach
• Tumble dry low
• Iron on the lowest setting if needed

If you choose our Healthy Curtain Cleaning Service, your curtains will be pre-washed and treated before production. This helps lock in the final size and shape, so you won’t have to worry about shrinkage after future washes. Your curtains will maintain their beautiful drape and fit right out of the box—and stay that way.
